How I became a GeneratePress WordPress Web Developer?

The journey started in 2024. Before that, most of my time was spent on building, managing, and growing a niche site. That was actually my business. Creating niche sites, using SEO to drive traffic, and leveraging affiliate or Ads for monetization.

The Niche Sites.

I still own a few of my sites. But, I just couldn’t keep up with most of them after this whole AI immersion in search and Google’s aggressive algorithm, destroying sites like they never existed.

So, I knew how to build websites on WordPress, with a basic structure, theme, and everything. Most of my sites were built on GeneratePress, Kadence, or Astra.

After analyzing the current situation of niche, content, or affiliate sites’ business, I felt that it’s time to do something else.

I was clear in my mind that the next thing would still revolve around websites and SEO because this is what I was really good at, building and growing sites to success.

Secondly, I have a deep passion for making clean websites. Like, I used to spend hours just making the single section of niche sites look good & user-friendly.

Selling Services

So, after taking some time off, analyzing the market, and understanding the demand, I decided to go with WordPress Web Development and SEO services business.

In my research, I discovered that the web development market is oversaturated with page builders like Elementor and platforms such as Wix and Webflow. While these platforms and WordPress page builders can be useful in some cases, they are not widely effective.

I believe that a beautiful website without a purpose is useless. The website should be effective, rather than having the most dynamic pages, with a lot of animation going on.

A clean effective website design.

A good website should be fast, simple, look clean, optimized for different screen sizes, convey the message properly, and help in conversion.

And a little bit of animation that complements the design elements is fine and can help in the overall user experience of the website. But I’m against the bloated stuff!

Fortunately, some people do understand that an effective website better serves its purpose by increasing conversions and enhancing user engagement.

Thus, I decided that with my experience in SEO and building websites, I will offer users fast, light, and fully SEO optimized websites for their businesses.

Choosing GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks

So, the next step was to select the right tool or foundation for Web development. I love WordPress, so I didn’t want to leave it. So my options were to find the simplest and lightest solution to build sites in the WordPress ecosystem.

After reading a few Reddit discussions, watching YouTube videos, and reflecting on my past experiences, I decided to go with GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks.

I purchased the GeneratePress premium and started building demo websites.

The GeneratePress Logo.

This was a period of learning, improving my web design and development skills.

I spent all day working on these demo sites and learning about GeneratePress, and I truly enjoyed it. I was excited to see that I could make literally any type of website with the combination of GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks. Further, adding ACF(Advanced Custom Fields) blew my mind. Ideas were just pouring into my mind on what I can achieve with this.

For 3 months, I just tested and experimented with different designs and the dynamic structures.

So, after spending a few months, I got to work with some real businesses, creating websites for them.

Initially, money was not the main goal; I was just improving my skills and working on different types of websites using GeneratePress.

In the following six months, I developed e-commerce sites, local businesses, directory and affiliate sites, and worked with solo entrepreneurs.

I also worked & managed large websites that use GeneratePress and learned many things, including how they properly use the GeneratePress elements system and ACF together to create a large amount of dynamic content.

Do I recommend GeneratePress & Generateblocks in 2025 & 2026?

My answer is Yes.

While there are other options like Bricks, Kadence, and Astra, which also have a lightweight foundation, nothing compares to the simplicity of GeneratePress, its robust nature, and how it integrates with the WordPress Gutenberg system.

Also, the support system, the team behind GeneratePress, and the founder himself, Tom Usborne, are amazing.

I surely recommend trying it, as they offer a 30-day full refund policy.

Thank you.
